SharePoint migration can be a daunting task for any company. There are many things you need to think about, such as figuring out where to migrate your SharePoint server and what tools you need.
Company A entered the process with an overloaded SharePoint site, and our IT consulting and IT project implementation led them down the path of creating a new hub site with 9 sub-sites. This allowed the document libraries to be appropriately sized, the file paths to not get too long, and centrally located these in an attractive “portal” style hub site. We added in some Microsoft flow to enable easy archiving, and our client was very impressed with the end result and the project delivery overall.
Company B also had an overloaded SharePoint site, and our solution here was different. Their additional complicating factor was a 3rd party program that was writing directly to SharePoint. We created a new main site for them, while consulting with them to archive significant portions of their data in an effective and accessible way. Keeping these libraries separate was a key factor in immediately boosting the performance of SharePoint.
